"Activism" is a broad term. Larken Rose addresses a particular form of it and calls into question how effective group efforts, protests and petitions may be, while those efforts often avoid the heart of the problem. Personal activism on the other hand, wherein one transforms their own understanding of self-determination and becomes active to make necessary changes, remains a key goal.
